오늘은 생생한 리얼 생활영어를 배워보도록 해요.

크리스틴이 생일에 친구들을 초대했어요. 아마 어떤 친구들은 서로 아는 사이이고 어떤 친구는 모르는 사이인가 봐요. 처음 서먹할 때 어떻게 대화를 하는지 알아보도록 해요. 아는 사이끼리만 이야기를 나누는 것보다 모두 함께 어울려 파티를 즐기면 좋겠죠? 

정말 도움 되는 영어인 것 같아요. 마지막에 Josh 친구가 생일 모자에서 도넛을 꺼내는 장면 빼고요. 그건 Josh 선생님이 장난 친 건지 모두 아시죠? 서양 사람들이 생일에 그런 장난을 치지는 않아요. 하지만 재미있기는 했죠?

  Seamus : Hello!
  Christine : Hi, welcome. Come in!
  Seamus : Thank you. Happy birthday! 
  Christine : Oh, thank you. Have a party hat.
  Seamus : Here’s a present.
  Christine : Wow, thank you! Come on in and have a seat.
              So, Seamus this is my friend Josh and this is my friend Katie.
  Seamus : Josh, it’s a pleasure to meet you.
  Josh : Nice to meet you, Seamus.
  Seamus : Katie, it’s a pleasure to meet you.
  Katie : Nice to meet you. Would you like a drink?
  Seamus : Yes. Do you have  punch?
  Katie : Yes, here you go.
  Seamus : Thank you.
            Christine, where’s Shannon?
  Christine : Oh, Shannon couldn’t make it tonight. 
             She’s not feeling well.
   Seamus : That’s too bad.
             Josh, how do you know Christine?
   Josh : I work with Christine. What about you?
   Seamus : I went to university with Christine.
            Katie, how do you know Christine?
    Katie : Me and Christine have been friends since we were kids.
    Seamus : Oh, wow!
    Josh : Would you like a donut Seamus?
    Seamus : No, thank you.
